Diagnostic Imaging Northwest (DINW) is a collaborative alliance between Medical Imaging Northwest and MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. DINW provides diagnostic radiology services at five imaging locations throughout Bonney Lake, Puyallup and Sunrise.
Medical Imaging Northwest is a group of private practice radiologists working in hospitals, clinics and imaging centers. MultiCare Good Samaritan is part of a healthcare network that has 90-plus locations in Pierce, South King, Kitsap and Thurston counties. This alliance began in December 2008. Our team consists of 25 Board-certified radiologists with Fellowship and/or subspecialty training in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology. Our registered radiologic technologists have advanced certifications to ensure that your care is of optimal quality.
Our procedures include: MRI, Dedicated Extremity MRI, CT (Catscan), Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Breast MRI, MRI Guided Biopsy, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, DEXA (Bone Desitometry), X-ray, Fluororoscopy, Creatinine Lab Services
DINW now offering MRI Extremity in its newest location in the new Good Samaritan Medical Building
The new four-story, 83, 268 sq. ft. medical office building is located on the corner of 15th Ave. and 5th St . SE, adjacent to the new Patient Care Tower on the Puyallup campus of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. This state-of-the-art facility offers comprehensive specialties for seamless medical care in an environmentall friendly building with its LEED Silver certification design features. Diagnostic Imaging Northwest announces the first extremity MRI scanner in the South Sound
Diagnostic Imaging Northwest announces the new, extremity 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner. The GE Optima is the first specialty extremity MRI available for patients in the South Sound. Designed to be more comfortable than a full-body MRI system, the GE Optima is intended for patients needing an MRI exam of extremities such as the elbow, wrist, hand, knee, ankle and foot.
The Optima features a high-strength 1.5T magnet exceeding those of a standard MRI system, and warranting image quality. The comfortable design insures less moving around -- resulting images are likely to be even more clear and consistent, securing a more confident diagnosis.
Unlike the awkward and uncomfortable positions sometimes required for extremity scanning in whole-body systems, patients can relax on a padded chair beside the scanner, reclining comfortably, much like they would in a favorite chair at home. The patient who has extreme anxiety over the closed-in tube MRI and fear of claustrophobia is eliminated by this open design. Diagnostic Imaging Northwest along with 40+ community sponsored the 4thAnnual Pierce County Cancer Survivors' Conference on March 13, 2012. This conference is designed to provide the opportunity to discuss and learn about the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the cancer journey.
Each year the conference is FREE to attend. The 2012 conference will again held at the University of Puget Sound University campus.

Diagnostic Imaging Northwest Joins MultiCare
in new Bonney Lake Medical Offices
The Bonney Lake Medical building opened its new building October 1, 2011 with a three-story, 58,500 square foot (SF) medical office building. The project sits on 4.75 acres near the intersection of South Prairie Road East and Highway 410 in Bonney Lake, Washington. MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital serves as the anchor tenant offering services including: Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy and Diagnostic Imaging. “We are excited to bring new health care services and MultiCare’s expertise to Bonney Lake,” said Glenn Kasman, Vice President of Professional Services and Business Development at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. “The significant expansion of providers and services will mean better access to health care for residents in that area.”
Diagnostic Imaging Northwest will provide convenient X-ray and Ultrasound imaging to support the referring physicians in the new building while continuing to provide full MRI, CT, Ultrasound, DEXA, and Digital Mammography at the Bonney Lake outpatient imaging site on Highway 410. Other physician services include Primary Care, Same-Day Primary Care, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology & Dermatology, and Foot and Ankle. Physician group partners will also include: Sound Family Medicine, Sound Family Medicine Same Day, Woodcreek Healthcare, Cascade Eye & Skin Center, Foot & Ankle Specialists of Bonney Lake.
